Privacy

with lock function but keyless, you could locked inside, but can't open outside as there is no key. Usually used on interior doors where a privacy locking function is required, such as a bedroom/bathroom. Note: Opened with a Coin by an exterior emergency Coin Hole.

Passage

No key and can't be locked, but has the latch,so just turn to open. Usuallyused on interior doors requiring no locking functionality, such as hallway or closet door handles

Easy to install, works either direction

This fit great on my funky bedroom door, when needed a new door knob. I opted for a handle because I prefer them, and this one did not disappoint. I put mine in upside down, since I preferred the curve to go that way :)

Solid and Easy to Operate

Solid and nice looking, also easy to assemble-what more could you want?. The 2 problems I had were with the door frames, an error in routing the hole for the striker, and an out of square door frame. They use symmetric handles so no re assembly is ever required and no right left lever is necessary. The lever style is far superior to the traditional knob especially if you have weak hands or wrists.
The Probrico lever version has an easy to operate push lock, it stays locked when jiggled and the pin emergency release works every time, it makes a satisfying "snick" too when unlocked. I used the Hall Passage lever for everything else and recommend drilling pilot holes for the striker plate screws.
These comments apply to new doors after a contractor remodel, older doors will require more time, and you may need to check the sizes and locations of the holes bored in the door as well as the cut outs in the door frame.

Modern and striking door levers

These look great when installed. They really made our 90's home feel a lot more up-to-date. Still a great product.
